The statement reads in part;

“There are some people that I especially want to thank. First of all, the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to me to serve; and secondly the critical stakeholders from traditional rulers to elder-statesmen; party men and women; friends; families; and associates for every inch of support that we’ve received right from the start of our campaign to the height of the election, and finally to the inauguration ceremony on Friday. My chairmanship would not have been possible without them— and I really want to, again, thank them for the outstanding work that they did for this success”, the council chairman said.

Monumental Legacy

Going further in the statement, the chairman said he hope to build on the foundation of unity and close-engagement that his campaign rode on— for a better result in the delivery of governance in his administration.

“I quite know expectations are high of this new administration- and so, in meeting the expectations of the good people of Lagelu, I must prepare everyone that our principal strength shall lie in close engagement with communities, and in public introspection- which everyone have come to expect of leaders— a performance of authenticity of sorts that turns leaders’ personal experience with his constituents as a source of legitimacy in the eyes of all”, he concluded.
