In his final official statement as Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi today made remarks on his unending appreciation to the Oyo State Governor, and the people of Lagelu for the privilege he’s received to serve.
His parting statement reads;
“I am about to get on with the rest of my life. But before I do, I want to register my profound gratitude with the Oyo State Governor, and the good people of Lagelu local government. Honestly, It’s been the honor of my life serving Lagelu”.
“I am eternally grateful to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for the opportunity given to me to serve my people, and to work for them in that office”.
“I am profoundly grateful to Vice Chairman Biodun Badmus, and Secretary Olanrewaju Olatinwo, my 14 Councilors, Supers and SAs, and to all those who have served with me for the last three years”.
“And to my loving PDP family, who have been steadfast in their support for me these these years. I thank you for accepting me for who I am. Thank you for your three years of unparalleled support”.
“In all the work I have done as Chairman— every decision I have made, every action I have taken— one thing I’ve come to realize is that leadership most times comes with a weight of responsibilities, and some times, a load of challenges”.
“I have steered my course as Executive Chairman, and it ends here. My deepest gratitude to a community of people I’m surrounded by”.
“I join all Lagelu indigenes and residents in wishing our very best to the next Executive Chairman, Mudashiru M. Kamorudeen, to his family and his administration, in meeting every challenges that comes with leadership. Knowing how big a job, how hard a job, it is, being in that office which is most closest to the people— the new council executives would need the understanding and the help of everyone. I’m assuring them mine, and I want all of Lagelu sons and daughters to give theirs too”.
“My days in this office are nearly through, but my days of service, I hope, are not. In the years ahead, I may hold positions in different offices. But there can hardly be a greater honor than being Lagelu chairman”.
“Thank you all, I will remain grateful to you, forever”.
