SECURITY: Makinde Intensifies Security In Oyo State, Donates Additional 100 Vehicles To Security Agencies
As part of efforts to further strengthen the security Architecture of Oyo State, The State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has donated an additional one hundred security Vehicles fully equipped with communication gadgets to the Security agencies in the state.
Governor Makinde presented the vehicles to the leaders of the Security operatives during an event held at the Governor’s office premises, State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Addressing the beneficiaries and other security stakeholders present at the event, Governor Seyi Makinde, reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue to give support to the security agencies in the state, to discharge their statutory duties diligently.
While appreciating the efforts of the security personnel, most especially the Nigerian Police force, Oyo State Command for making the state one of the safest in Nigeria, Governor Makinde charged the leadership of security agencies in the state to ensure that the welfare of their men are adequately taken care of.
Speaking on behalf of the Security agencies, The Special Adviser to the governor on security matters, CP Fatai Owoseni Rtd, and the State Commissioner of Police, Adebola Hamzat, lauded the security policies of Makinde-led administration, as they described it as unprecedented among other states of the federation.
The security leaders however promised to double their efforts in securing the state, pledging that they would make judicious use of the vehicles donated.
The Security agencies that received the vehicles are the Nigeria Police Force Oyo State Command, Amotekun Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, Oyo State Road Traffic Management Agency (OYTMA) Operation Burst, and the Nigerian Army. Others include the Nigeria Customs Service, the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
