Oyo Govt Commiserates With Families Of Late State Secretariat Chief Imam As 8th-fidau Holds
The Oyo state government has commiserated with the family, Muslim Ummah of the state secretariat, and Muslim Community over the demise of the Chief Imam of the state secretariat, Alhaji Imran Raji Mustapha Amoo.
This was stated through the delegation led by the chairman, of the Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, who represented the state government at the 8th Days Fidau prayer of Imam Raji Mustapha Amoo, held at Oke-Aare Palace, Ibadan.
He described the departed Islamic cleric in a statement as a peacemaker who worked peacefully with all the Muslim Ummah in the state and also worked for the growth of Islam within and outside the secretariat transforming the government secretariat mosque as a cynosure of all eyes.
The statement further advised the family and Muslim Community to take solace in the assurance of Almighty Allah He gives and takes.
The statement read: “It is with a heavy heart and total submission to Almighty Allah that I commiserate with the Muslim Ummah of the government secretariat in particular and the entire Muslim community of Oyo state on the demise of the immediate past Imam of the government secretariat mosque, Ibadan Imran Adegbola Raji Mustapha Amoo.
“There is no doubt that the exit of the cleric is a huge loss and however take solace in the assurance of Almighty Allah which is in the holy Quran Suratul Fajr chapter 89 Ayats 27-30 which says ah! Thou soul at peace! Return unto thy Lord, content in his great pleasure! Enter thou my garden!”.
“It is noteworthy that the tenure of the late Chief Imam is with the remarkable growth of Islam within and outside the government secretariat”
Under his tenure, there was a complete transformation of the government secretariat mosque and the place was a cynosure of all eyes”
While I pray for the eternal rest of our late father, I equally ask the Almighty Allah to give him all of us the fortitude to bear the loss”.
Also part of the entourage includes Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdul-Rasheed Adewale, and Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Administration, Alhaji Kunle Sanni.
