You Are A Political Lout Who Thrives On Low-Level Politics – GSM Advocates Fires Sunday Igboho
.Foremost Social-political group GSM Advocates has lambasted the so-called Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, calling him a political tout and an illiterate who thrives only on low-level politics.
The group reacted to what it termed a reckless, unguarded, and disrespectful statement attributed to Sunday Igboho against the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
In a press statement issued on Monday, the GSM Advocates said it was appalling that someone like Igboho who has no formal education, no record of sound public service, and no understanding of modern governance would open his mouth to attack a performing governor.
The group stated that Sunday Igboho has reduced himself to a political tout who jumps from one politician to another for survival, and thrives only when he creates controversy and incites the public.
“Sunday Igboho is a political tout, an illiterate who only thrives in a low-level style of politics. He is a man who has no second address, no known profession except to make noise and cause confusion. He is not qualified to mention the name of Governor Seyi Makinde in any gathering,” the statement read in part.
GSM Advocates maintained that Governor Seyi Makinde has elevated governance in Oyo State beyond the kind of thuggery and street-style agitation that Igboho represents, noting that Oyo State under GSM has witnessed massive transformation in education, health, security, road infrastructure, agribusiness and workers’ welfare.
The group described Igboho’s recent statement as a product of envy and political frustration, alleging that he is being sponsored by some disgruntled opposition elements who are intimidated by Makinde’s rising political profile and national acceptance ahead of 2027.
GSM Advocates warned Sunday Igboho to desist from further attacks on Governor Makinde and focus on clearing his name and redeeming his battered image.
They further advised him to seek education and proper political tutelage if he truly wants to be relevant, rather than resorting to blackmail and gutter language.
“We will not fold our arms and watch a man who cannot write a correct sentence in English without help, a man who has never managed even a small business successfully, insult an accomplished engineer, a successful businessman and a visionary leader like Governor Seyi Makinde. Enough is enough.”
The group reaffirmed that Oyo State Residents are behind Governor Seyi Makinde and urged the public to disregard Igboho’s comments, describing them as the rantings of a politically expired agitator desperate for attention.
