Alli’s sudden concern about debt is comical. Oyo’s economy has improved under Makinde, salaries are paid, pensions are paid, and our fiscal credibility is why France trusts us with this facility.

If he truly cared about debt, he would tell Oyo people what he has done with his constituency allocations since 2023. Where are the hospitals he facilitated? Where are the schools?

The N200bn bond he mentioned is for debt refinancing to lower interest costs — a standard, responsible financial management move praised by rating agencies, not a campaign purse.

The people of Oyo State are not fools. They see their resources working — in Omituntun buses, in farm estates, in renovated general hospitals, in Light Up Oyo.

Governor Makinde has eight months left to finish strong. Senator Alli has eight months left to finally show his work. Oyo State trusts Makinde to deliver healthcare, not theater.
