Lagelu APM Unveils Campaign Council, Drafts Grassroots Heavyweights for Electoral Victory (See List)
The leadership of Lagelu Allied Peoples Movement (APM) headed by Chief. Oribayo Okeyode, has formally unveiled the party’s Campaign Council in the local government area, ahead of the 2026 Local Government
polls and the 2027 general elections.
The development was announced in a statement issued by the party leadership on Thursday. According to the statement, the constituted Campaign Council comes with the composition of a thoroughbred grassroots leadership and structures.
The statement revealed that the Campaign Council will be led by Hon. Jide Adeniran, former Executive Chairman of the Local Government, as Director General, with Alhaji Lanre Lantinwo, former Secretary to the Local Government, serving as Deputy Director General. To ensure effective coverage across the Local Government Area, the campaign structure has been formally organized into three key zones of Lagelu West, Lagelu Central and Lagelu North, each coordinated by a Deputy Director General and an Assistant Deputy Director General, and supported by dedicated Ward Coordinators across all fourteen wards.
Key committees were also inaugurated to handle specialised aspects of the campaign, covering advisory oversight, finance, mobilisation, media and publicity, grassroots mobilisation, security, election management, and
the women’s and youth wings, the full composition of which is set out in the tables below.
The party leadership congratulated all appointed members and expressed confidence that their experience would contribute meaningfully to the party’s campaign, while directing members of the Campaign Council to work collectively towards securing victory for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the forthcoming Local Government and general elections.
The composition of the Council effectively places Adeniran at the strategic helm of the APM Campaign Council in Lagelu LGA, while Lantinwo and other senior officials take charge of critical operational, electoral and mobilisation functions.
