Fresh political signals from Oyo State indicate that former lawmaker, Saheed Akinade-Fijabi, is set to contest his fifth House of Representatives election in the 2027 general polls.
According to party sources, Governor Seyi Makinde has reportedly thrown his weight behind Akinade-Fijabi to represent Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency.
In a similar development, Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji is said to have emerged as the governor’s preferred candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency.
Meanwhile, Olajide, elder brother to the late Temitope Olatoye, has been pencilled down as the candidate for the Lagelu State Constituency.
The endorsements are believed to be part of broader consultations aimed at positioning the ruling party strongly ahead of the 2027 elections.
