Just In: PDP Returns Babajide Gabriel “Jagaban” as Flag Bearer for Ibadan North Constituency II

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced Hon. Babajide Gabriel, popularly known as Jagaban, as its flag bearer for Ibadan North Constituency II ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision follows a series of consultations within the party aimed at strengthening its chances at the polls and consolidating its political structure in the constituency.

It would be recalled that the PDP had earlier settled for Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, widely known as DoN, the current federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, as well as Hon. Mrs. Comforter Olufunke as the party’s flag bearer for Ibadan North Constituency I.

Party sources revealed that the choice of Hon. Gabriel was reached after extensive deliberations among key stakeholders, with a consensus that he remains the most formidable candidate to represent the party in a keenly contested race.
