Just In: Ibadan North Constituency II Aspirants Step Down for Agboluaje as Consensus Candidate for 2027

In a significant show of unity and political maturity, key stakeholders in Ibadan North Local Government have reached a consensus on the forthcoming 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly election, with Abiodun Agboluaje emerging as the preferred candidate for Ibadan North Constituency II.

The decision was reached moments ago during a strategic meeting involving major aspirants and party leaders, following extensive consultations aimed at strengthening the party’s chances in the general elections.

In a rare demonstration of sportsmanship and commitment to collective progress, three frontline aspirants voluntarily stepped down from the race to support Agboluaje’s candidacy. Those who withdrew include Muyiwa Yusuf (popularly known as Anfani, Ward 11), Tosin Makanjuola (Omo Gboye, Ward 12), and Muhammad Yisah Bright (Ward 9).

Sources at the meeting revealed that the consensus was reached swiftly, reflecting a shared resolve among stakeholders to present a united front and avoid internal divisions that could weaken the party’s electoral strength.
