Full List: Oyo North PDP Stakeholders, Makinde Present, Adopt Shina Peller as Consensus Senatorial Candidate, Unveil Reps and Assembly Picks
In a major political development ahead of the forthcoming elections, stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo North Senatorial District, in the presence of Governor Seyi Makinde, his deputy, and other key state actors, have unanimously adopted Shina Peller as the consensus candidate for the Oyo North Senatorial seat.

The high-level meeting, which brought together party leaders, grassroots mobilizers, and critical stakeholders across the senatorial district, was described as a strategic move to foster unity and strengthen the PDP’s chances in the upcoming polls.
Alongside the senatorial endorsement, consensus candidates also emerged across various federal and state constituencies within the district.



For the House of Representatives, Biodun Òní was confirmed for Irepo/Olorunsogo/Oorelope Federal Constituency, while Adeniyi Adebisi secured the ticket for Saki East/Saki West/Atisbo Federal Constituency. Similarly, Shina Oyedeji emerged as the consensus candidate for Iseyin/Iwajowa/Kajola/Itesiwaju Federal Constituency.
At the state assembly level, several candidates were either affirmed or returned unopposed. “Boom” was confirmed for Ogbomosho North State Constituency, while Sanjo Adedoyin was returned unopposed in his constituency.


Further confirmations include Ayinde Sarafadeen Sassay as the PDP candidate for Irepo/Olorunsogo State Constituency, Jimoh Adisa Olabisi (JAO) for Oorelope State Constituency, Salahudeen Kabiru Adebayo for Saki West State Constituency, and Olugbenga George Adetunji for Kajola State Constituency.
Party sources disclosed that the consensus arrangement was reached after extensive consultations and negotiations aimed at ensuring inclusiveness and minimizing internal conflicts within the party ranks.
While the exercise has produced candidates for several constituencies, it was gathered that deliberations are still ongoing in other areas within the senatorial district, with additional announcements expected in due course.
