Egbeda LG Chairman, Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, Fulfils Commitment with Strategic Financial Support to Community Development Councils
As Egbeda Local Government steps confidently into the promising Year 2026, the Executive Chairman, Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has once again demonstrated that leadership is best measured by action.

In a symbolic New Year gesture that reflects unity and progress, the Chairman, represented by the Supervisory Councillor for Youths and Sports, Hon. Adio Babatunde, presented cheques to Community Development Councils (CDCs) across the local government.
The presentation was more than a seasonal celebration—it was a clear fulfilment of commitment and a renewed pledge to grassroots development, community empowerment, and sustainable growth. According to the Chairman, the support serves as appreciation for the unwavering dedication of CDC members and their continued role in driving community-based projects. He reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to position Egbeda as a model of excellence, transparency, and accelerated development.

Speaking on behalf of the CDCs, the Egbeda CDC Chairman, Alhaji Ayobami Salam, lauded Hon. Sanda’s leadership style, famously describing him as “Mr. Talk and Do.” He emphasized that in an era where many leaders make promises without delivery, Hon. Sanda has consistently matched words with visible results.
From grassroots empowerment initiatives to infrastructural improvements and inclusive community engagement, the administration has continued to uphold accountability, responsiveness, and integrity. According to the CDC Chairman, the title “Mr. Talk and Do” is not mere praise, but a reflection of performance, trust, and impactful governance.
The event was attended by the Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Ilugbaro Bosede; the Deputy Director of Education, Mr. Lawal; Mr. Muraina (HOU); and other CDC members.
