Olufade, Oyekunle, Baba Ashipa Hold Strategic Meeting with Gov. Makinde to Strengthen Ibadan North Development, Party Unity
In a significant move aimed at strengthening governance, party unity, and developmental strides in Ibadan North, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade; the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN); alongside the number one Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Ibadan North Local Government, Baba Ismaila ashipa, held a high-level strategic and developmental meeting with the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, at his residence on Thursday morning.
The meeting, described as productive and forward-looking, provided an opportunity for the trio to appreciate the governor for his unwavering support to the party and for his commitment to sustainable development across Oyo State, particularly in Ibadan North Local Government.
During the engagement, they expressed profound gratitude to Governor Makinde following the tribunal’s affirmation of the victory of Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle in the August 16 bye-election, noting that the judgment further reinforces the will of the people and strengthens democratic values within the constituency.
They also congratulated the governor on the successful hosting of the historic Oyo State @50 celebrations, commending his visionary leadership and the remarkable organization that showcased the state’s rich heritage, achievements, and unity.
In the same vein, the delegation praised Governor Makinde for his generous donation of a party secretariat to the Oyo State chapter of the PDP, describing the gesture as a symbol of dedication to party growth, institutional strength, and enduring political legacy.
Reaffirming their unwavering commitment, the trio pledged absolute loyalty to Governor Makinde and the PDP in Ibadan North Local Government, assuring him of their collective resolve to maintain discipline and unity within the party’s ranks.
They emphasized that anti-party activities and the actions of chameleonic elements would not be tolerated, reiterating their determination to safeguard the integrity and cohesion of the PDP at all levels.
