OTOPE Commends PDP Leadership, Hails Makinde as PDP National Chairman Commissions Oyo State Party Secretariat

Dr. Temitope Ezekiel Oladimeji (OTOPE), philanthropist, founder of the OTOPE Foundation, and Director-General of the Oyo State Liaison Office for Abuja and Lagos, has commended the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the official commissioning of the newly built Oyo State PDP Secretariat by the party’s National Chairman, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN.

Dr. Oladimeji made this known to the media on Tuesday February 3rd, 2026 through his Special Assistant on Media, Segun Akinlabi.

The secretariat, located in Ibadan, was donated by Governor Seyi Makinde as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s institutional framework and deepen internal cohesion in Oyo State.

Reacting to the development, OTOPE described the commissioning as a landmark moment for the PDP in the state, noting that the presence of the PDP National Chairman at the event underscored Oyo State’s strategic importance within the party’s national structure.

He lauded Governor Makinde for what he described as purposeful and visionary leadership, stressing that the donation of a permanent party secretariat reflects a strong commitment to unity, organisation, and democratic growth within the PDP.

According to him, the new secretariat will not only serve as an administrative hub but will also function as a rallying point for party members, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters across the state.

OTOPE further praised the PDP leadership at both the national and state levels for promoting stability and collaboration within the party, urging members to fully utilise the facility to strengthen mobilisation, internal democracy, and effective service delivery to the people of Oyo State.

The commissioning ceremony attracted party leaders, elected officials, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state, marking a significant milestone in the history of the PDP in Oyo State.
