Lagelu Chairman Orders Security Agencies to Expand Intelligence, Intensify Patrols Amid Rising Insecurity

The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has directed all security agencies operating within the local government area to immediately widen their intelligence networks and intensify patrols across every nook and cranny of the local government to contain spillover effects of rising insecurity in the country.

The directive was handed down on Wednesday during a crucial security meeting convened by the chairman at the Lagelu Local Government Secretariat in Iyana-Offa.

The crucial security meeting, attended by heads and representatives of all security formations in the area, including the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corps, local vigilante groups, and other stakeholders, was called in readiness to the ongoing security challenges in most parts of the country.

He charged the agencies to expand their intelligence-gathering mechanisms, strengthen inter-agency collaboration, and ensure proactive patrols in all communities, including the remotest villages. Hon. Kamorudeen further directed security operatives to work closely with traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth organizations to identify flashpoints and nip criminal activities in the bud.
