The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extolled the outstanding vision, passion, and achievements of the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing him as an uncommon leader, a mentor to many, and a true architect of modern Oyo State, following the successful commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, Iwo Road, a monumental project that redefines the transportation landscape of the state.

Hon. Olufade, in a statement made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Olufade lauded the Governor for his relentless drive to transform Ibadan into a model metropolis with world-class facilities that prioritize comfort, efficiency, and dignity for all residents.

“What we witnessed at the commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal is not just an infrastructural development; it is a bold statement of vision and excellence,” Hon. Olufade said. “Governor Makinde has once again proven that leadership, when anchored on integrity, foresight, and compassion, can truly change lives and redefine history.”

The Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, located at Iwo Road, stands as a symbol of Governor Makinde’s commitment to purposeful governance.

The facility boasts two mega bus stations, fully equipped with modern waiting halls, ticketing spaces, eateries, public conveniences, open vehicular parking areas, an electrical power generating house, water reservoir, elevators, and escalators — all built to global standards and designed to ease transportation within the bustling city of Ibadan.

Hon. Olufade emphasized that the terminal is a reflection of Governor Makinde’s resolve to engineer a modern Oyo State, guided by his roadmap for sustainable development.

He noted that the project is a living testament to promises made and promises kept, one that will serve generations to come.

“His Excellency has once again shown that governance is not about empty rhetoric but about tangible results that touch the lives of ordinary people,” Hon. Olufade continued.

“He remains a beacon of hope and a shining example of what progressive leadership looks like.

As a mentor and a visionary, he has raised the bar for public service in Nigeria.”

The Ibadan North helmsman joined the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR), and other dignitaries in commending Governor Makinde’s exceptional leadership and people-centered governance, noting that such transformative projects will not only ease mobility but also boost economic activities and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the state capital.

Hon. Olufade also lauded the Governor’s handling of the 110km Ibadan Circular Road project, describing it as a forward-thinking initiative aimed at securing the economic backbone of Oyo State for decades to come.

He affirmed that under Makinde’s leadership, Oyo State has become a reference point in governance, infrastructural renewal, and people-oriented development.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has changed the narrative of governance in Oyo State.

His administration is not only building roads and terminals, it is building a legacy of efficiency, accountability, and inclusive progress.

He remains my mentor, a man of purpose, and an uncommon achiever whose name will forever be etched in the annals of Oyo’s history,” Hon. Olufade declared.

He further called on residents to take pride in the new infrastructure and ensure its proper maintenance, stressing that the Governor’s strides are collective victories for the people of Oyo State.

“Indeed, we are witnessing the dawn of a new era.
