Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, today officially presented the Staff of Office to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rasheed Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja, AruSA I, confirming his ascension as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The historic event, held at the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, was graced by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside eminent traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, and dignitaries from across the country.
Governor Makinde described the coronation as a defining moment in the history of Ibadanland, noting that Oba Ladoja’s reign will usher in a new era of peace, unity, and progress for the ancient city.
The presentation of the staff of office marks the formal enthronement of Oba Ladoja as the custodian of Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
