Ib’North: PDP’s Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN) Brings Relief to Muslim Community with Mosque Roofing Project
In a remarkable show of support for grassroots development and religious harmony, the PDP candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has stepped in to complete the roofing of the Yemetu Oni Lane Abijamori Central Mosque located in Ward 3, Ibadan North.

The timely intervention brought immense relief to the Muslim community, which had struggled for months to raise the necessary funds to complete the project. Despite contributions from members and residents, the amount generated had remained insufficient—until Hon. Oyekunle’s decisive support arrived.

Speaking to journalists at the mosque site, the Chief Imam, Alhaji OlorunKemi, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the mosque leadership and the entire community. He described Hon. Oyekunle’s gesture as not only commendable but also divinely inspired.
“We sincerely appreciate Honourable Folajimi Oyekunle for his intervention in the work of God. May the Almighty grant him the desires of his heart,” the Imam said. He further confirmed that efforts to raise funds had yielded minimal progress before Hon. Oyekunle’s assistance, which ensured the swift continuation and completion of the roofing phase.
The mosque, which serves a large congregation in the Yemetu Oni Lane and Abijamori axis, had remained partially roofed for several months, hindering worship activities, especially during heavy rains.

Community members and Islamic leaders alike have praised Hon. Oyekunle for his continued responsiveness to local needs, describing him as a candidate who understands and acts on the concerns of the people.
