The Celestial Church of Christ, Salvation Cathedral, Elewura, Challenge, was recently commissioned in a grand ceremony that brought together church members, government officials, and community leaders. Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Sunday, the donor who generously funded the construction of the cathedral from scratch, expressed joy in seeing the project come to fruition.

As Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Sunday played a key role in the ceremony. Most Superior Evangelist JD Nunayon delivered a powerful sermon, emphasizing the importance of expanding God’s service and setting examples of Christ-like character. He urged the parish members to reflect God’s love in their daily lives.

Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle Sunday shared the journey of building the cathedral, revealing that the foundation was laid in August last year and was completed in just eight months. He highlighted the importance of giving back to the body of Christ and praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for its selfless service.
The commissioning service was filled with special hymns and praises, attended by dignitaries from various walks of life, including spiritual leaders, politicians, and party faithfuls. The event marked a new chapter for the Salvation Parish and strengthened the bond between the church and the community.
