Water Relief for Loko Community: Ibadan North LG Chairman, Olufade Commissions Motorized Borehole

The executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has commissioned a motorized borehole in Loko area of Ward 8, his home ward.


The landmark event, which drew a mammoth crowd of excited residents, party faithful, and community stakeholders, marks another milestone in the chairman’s commitment to ensuring access to clean water and improved living standards in all parts of Ibadan North.

The commissioning, which took place amidst cheers and applause from the community, was graced by top government officials, political leaders, and residents who hailed the chairman’s people-oriented governance.


Oyo State PDP Youth Leader and Acting Publicity Secretary, Hon. Michael Ogunsina, who also hails from Ward 8, lauded the project as another testament to the quality representation Ward 8 enjoys.

Monumental Legacy

He described Hon. Olufade as a performing chairman and a pride to the party.

Ogunsina urged the people of the ward to continue supporting the PDP, noting that the party has brought more tangible benefits to the community than any other political platform.

Speaking at the commissioning, Baba Lukman Agboluaje expressed gratitude for the quality leadership emerging from Ward 8.

He praised Hon. Olufade and Ward 8 Councilor, Hon. Adepoju Oluseye, for their proactive and committed representation.

He also urged residents to rally behind the PDP during the forthcoming bye-election.

PDP Chieftain, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, in his remarks, commended Hon. Olufade for not disappointing the people of Ibadan North.

He likened the chairman’s leadership style to that of Governor Seyi Makinde, noting his dual commitment to physical projects and social empowerment.

He prayed for Olufade’s continued success in office.

Also speaking, Mr Egbewumi, a representative of the Loko community, expressed sincere appreciation for the project, noting that he initially doubted it would be realized.

He hailed Hon. Olufade for changing the narrative about politicians and described him as a man of integrity.

He also called for more developmental projects in the area.

In his address, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade expressed joy at being able to execute such a meaningful project in his home ward.

He noted that while he often prefers actions to words during project deliveries, this borehole held special significance due to its location.

He added that alongside the borehole, the local government is donating a generator to power the facility for consistent public use.

The chairman also appreciated the efforts of Ward 8 Councilor, Hon. Adepoju Oluseye, and reiterated his pledge to deliver tangible projects across all wards in Ibadan North before completing his first year in office.

 

The commissioning was formally conducted by Baba 50/50, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Hon. Akinyemi Jubril Esho.

The borehole was test-run and officially opened for public use to the delight of the community.
