Hon. Lanre Sarumi Holds Interfaith Prayer Session, Calls for Unity and Divine Guidance for Governor Seyi Makinde
In a bid to foster unity and promote peace within Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Lanre Sarumi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the last general election, organized an interfaith prayer session yesterday. The event, which was well attended by various dignitaries, aimed at seeking divine guidance for the continued success of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
The interfaith gathering brought together clergies from both Christian and Muslim denominations, who led prayers for the prosperity, unity, and peace of Ibadan North and the state as a whole. Special prayers were also offered for Governor Makinde, asking for continued divine direction as he leads Oyo State to greater heights.
Notable figures present at the event included Hon. Seun Olufade, Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Babajide Gabriel, representing Ibadan North Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Tiamy, SSA Educational intervention, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, members of the PDP executive, party leaders, community stakeholders, and friends of Hon. Lanre Sarumi.
While addressing the attendees, Hon. Sarumi emphasized the importance of divine guidance in governance at all levels, urging the community to embrace peace and offer continuous prayers for the government. He stressed that collective support and prayers are essential for the state’s progress and harmony.
The prayer session concluded with refreshments and a time for interaction among the guests, fostering camaraderie and further strengthening bonds within the local community.
