Monumental Legacy

Abegunde explained that the support group had been actively supporting Lanre Sarumi’s candidacy since 2021.

He highlighted the importance of the Senatorial meeting as a vital platform for engaging party members, supporters, and stakeholders in discussions about the future of the party and the need for collective effort.

According to Abegunde, now more than ever, every party member’s passion and dedication are crucial to ensuring the success of the PDP in the upcoming bye-election.

Speaking on the challenges the party currently faces, Abegunde expressed confidence that the PDP has the capacity to address all internal concerns and reunite its members.

He reiterated that Lanre Sarumi, the party’s candidate for House of Representatives in the last general election, possesses the necessary leadership skills to unite the party and represent Ibadan North effectively.

“Lanre Sarumi is a capable and competent leader who can bring together all factions within the party,” Abegunde asserted.

The support group also reaffirmed their endorsement of Lanre Sarumi for the Ibadan North House of Representatives seat, citing their firm belief in his ability to provide quality representation for the constituency.

Reflecting on his past achievements, Abegunde recalled how Sarumi’s candidacy in the last election inspired hope and positive change in the constituency.

“Lanre Sarumi is the popular choice for Ibadan North. He has the competence, capacity, and experience to serve us well,” Abegunde declared.

He added, “We make this endorsement confidently, knowing that he is loved by the people and represents the future of the party.”
