LGSPB Team Pays Retirement Benefits to Egbeda Retirees, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele Lajue Commends Gov. Makinde

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele Lajue on Thursday, played host to the Local Government Pensions Board Team (LGSPB), under the chairmanship of Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige (Ige Again). The Permanent Secretary of the LGSPB, Alhaji Lukman Muraina and the team. As well as the retirees of six Local Governments (Ibadan Less City) were welcomed by the Executive Vice Chairman Egbeda Local Government & the Political Head/Administrator, Ajorosun LCDA, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple, who received Hon. Akeem Ige and the LGSPB team on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government over the payment of gratuities and death benefits to retired local government staff and primary school teachers.

Hon. Simple, who represented the Chairman who was unavoidably absent due to another important official assignment delivered the Chairman’s speech and the goodwill messages as well.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Simple congratulated the direct beneficiaries (the retirees) and also appreciative of the people’s centered Omi-tuntun administration of the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE.

Meanwhile, he acknowledged the administrative-savvy LGSPB Chairman, Hon. Ademola Ige for being passionate about the job. Adding that, paying the gratuities and death benefits of retired staff and primary school teachers at this period can be described as a way of touching lives. He believes it will be of great assistance to them all especially during this period of economic hardship in the country, giving kudos to Governor Seyi Makinde Omi-tuntun administration.

“I want to say a big thank you to the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Lukman Muraina and the entire staff of the LGSPB, for the great job you are doing. Because, your efficiency and effectiveness have a direct impact on the benefits of the retirees.” Hon. Simple said.

Furthermore, he also advised the beneficiaries of the monetary gain, to make good use of it.

“I’ll implore the receivers of the money, to put it to good use and ensure it can sustain them for a judicious spending. And also advice them to weigh it before venturing into a business they know nothing about. Saying that, taking a business risk for the aged may not be as important as taking good care of themselves and feedwell. Please, invest in your own health first, and any other things afterwards” he added.
