4th Egbeda Ramadan Lecture Focuses on Security, Peaceful Coexistence March 4

The 4th edition of the annual Ramadan Lecture will hold on Wednesday, 4th March, 2026, at the Egbeda Local Government Secretariat, Oyo State, Nigeria by 10am prompt.

The lecture, themed “Combating Insecurity in a Plural Nation: Islamic Solution for Peace and Security,” is aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence and addressing security challenges through Islamic perspectives.

The programme will feature Habibulahi Adekunle Bukhari as the keynote speaker, while the Chief Imam of the Akobo and Environ Muslim Community will also deliver a special address as guest speaker.

The lecture is being hosted by Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, who has invited residents, Islamic faithful, and members of the public to attend the event.

Organizers say the programme is part of efforts to use religious teachings to foster unity, security awareness, and peaceful living in the society.
