The Oyo State High Court sitting in Ogbomoso has ordered the removal of the new Soun, King Ghandi Olaoye. BBC Yoruba reported.
Recall that the Oyo state Government announced the selection of RCCG Pastor Ghandi Olaoye and he was installed king on the 8th of September, 2023.
Another contender for the stool, Laoye Kabir had earlier queried Ghandi’s selection claiming he is not eligible for the throne adding that there are discrepancies in the selection. Oyo Eye Witness also gathered that a court injunction had called for the stop of Ghandi’s installation of which the Oyo state Government proceeded.
Delivering his judgment, Justice Adedokun announced that the selection of Ghandi Olaoye was illegal and ordered that the Ogbomoso kingmakers begin a new process to select an Oba.
