The Youth, through their group ” Fiditi Social Youth, in a press statement made available to our news platform countered the false spread of information that the monarch has endorsed a candidate running for chairmanship seat under the platform of the PDP in Afijio local government, stating that, those who are quick to drag or use the Kabiyesi’s name are only not just enemies of the land but exhibiting. sign of disrespect towards the throne.
” It is unfortunate that some identified politicians who are from Fiditi town had decided to start trying to use the personality of our respected King, Onifiditi of Fiditi, Oba Sakiru Adewole Oyelere Gbadewolu 1 to achieve their political.
” Our group, Fiditi Social Youth, is a group of indigenous youth that stand to promote and uphold the integrity of our town as well as stand to promote the name of the town and seeking for the progress of Fiditi, with totally condemn the action been adopted by some said art of politicians, the action is not only disrespectful, it also goes into a way of downgrading our King image and erasing the good integrity he is known for.
” We stand to be corrected, as our group un regrettably bold to say that, there is no iota of truth from the video in circulation that the Onifiditi and town have endorsed a particular candidate of PDP as we have evidence to establish our fact.
” The Onifiditi of Fiditi, Oba Sakiru Adewole Oyelere Gbadewolu 1 has been known as a peace-loving Monarch with no traces of political participation, he has always been a father to all politicians irrespective of the party, so, he is regarded as unwise and oddity as some shameful politicians all of a sudden adopt the use of the Monarch personality to sell, impose themselves on their party.
” At this juncture, we will also like to call on the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Oyo state and Governor Seyi Makinde to call their party member to order as most of their party members are too desperate to find their way up for party ticket, either for themselves or for a member of their caucus.
” It will be good if Governor Seyi Makinde and Oyo PDP, critically look at the unsettled situation in their party, investigate, and normalized the situation before their party members damage the image of the party to a point of irreparable.
” In as much part of our group functions is to protect our town, as well as make sure, our King, people are not subject to ridicule, we, therefore urge all politicians and political parties in our town to play politics with mindful minds as any action that would give negative or cause damage to Fiditi will henceforth be rejected will all available measure”.
